Plenty of green onion

Well I don't know about you but I love green onion! I also live having items fresh to cook with! My husband and I grow basil and rosemary and our third item is green onion! It is super simple!!!! The only thing you have to do to keep it growing is put it in a glass with water and change out the water every few days! It will grow like a weed! (Really really fast). Here is a picture of our green onion and it has had about a week. It is so long that it is bent over- It looks pretty on our counter and I don't have to buy green onion anymore! Enjoy-

If you have a red car or truck, you shouldn't have a reason to have a dirty vehicle today. Today is Valentine's Day and many car washes are giving free car washes to red cars today! Enjoy~

Today I want to share a really good idea especially since it is almost Valentine's Day. I always enjoy helping people save a buck or two...so here we go!

If you want to pay half the price, order the flowers you dream to have and pay a much better price! Order what you want, and tell them that you will carry them out and arrange them yourself. You can get BEAUTIFUL hydrangeas, peonies, etc for half the price! The florist wants to charge you an arm and a leg just to arrange them.... Which is super easy to do! The main importance is that you need to order your flowers a minimum of one week before you need them. That is the catch! Most people need flowers immediately and don't plan enough when they need them so they end up paying DOUBLE for what isn't necessary. :)

~Something I Enjoy~

Hello Everyone! I have another blog however I am not very good at keeping it updated at ALL! I've been thinking about what I am good at and enjoy..... and that is finding good bargains! I will have to say that my mom taught me well (I always do my best shopping when I'm with her)! So.....I am starting this blog to share some of my secrets/tips/knowledge that I have to save $ every now and then. :) I hope you enjoy reading and finding ways to save money!

So, here is my 1st tip to share:

My friend Cara Lee and I were going around town and we decided to get a snack downtown. We first stopped by Cox jewelry store (they were liquidating everything) and then went to McKay's Bakery for a treat. She's never been there before and I haven't in a long time so we were overdue for a nice high calorie treat :) We tasted a few things and I noticed that there was fresh baked bread up on the rack. They looked INCREDIBLE! Ok- so most of you probably know that they sold fresh bread......but did you know that they only make 6 loafs a day? So, if you want a loaf, you can call early in the morning and they will make a loaf for you and save it for you to pick up! Guess what? It costs only $2 BUCKS! They sell white, wheat, sourdough, rye and iced raisin. They sell out everyday. I heard the sourdough is the best seller!

I had a few roommates in college that worked at McKay's so I've been able to taste many of the treats they brought home. YUMMY! I thought the bread would be nice to change up the usual sandwich bread, be good for dipping in soup or just to add with a nice pasta dinner (dipping in olive oil & seasonings) and have with guests. ~ENJOY~
